Farewell, dA

To whomever may come across my page:

It's been awesome hanging with most everyone here on dA...most of you were really great to talk to, and you're great with critiquing art.

I'm leaving dA for good, so I can deck out my own homepage and to work on my college-entrance art portfolio, as well as get ready for the coming school year. I'm also getting a bit short-fused with the hazy copyright rules and having my stuff moved around and deleted. My parents have had their share of hissy fits about me posting my art online here, and there are better things I could do than sit around and rant all day (like lose some of that hideous belly fat I have). Don't worry too much, though, those of you who knew me. We can still keep in touch and talk...

For my club I ran, :iconsouth-park-freakz:, I'm leaving loyal :iconkmac-fromthebbs: in charge. She'll take care of everything over there, so if anyone has questions, just ask them. They'll take care of it.

Anyways, for those of you who knew me in Complaintopia (the Complaints forum), farewell. It's been great poking fun at people and stupid things like the :iconethnicstanderplz: fiasco. I might return once in a blue moon to join in the craziness and fun again there, though it probably won't be very much.

If anyone wants to keep up and see what I've been doing lately in terms of art, they can come visit my homepage here: [link] People can leave me art critique through the guestbook I have on there. If anyone wants to keep in touch personally to chat about anything and just about everything, people can email me at authoritahplz@gmail.com. I'm not disappearing off the face of the planet ;), I'm just choosing to move on.

Farewell, everyone, and remember:

:iconauthoritahplz: forever!

* P.S. I'm gonna be here for a few days more, to start moving/cleaning out my gallery and to finish some final business with fellow deviants I know.

Oh Noes!!

  • Mood: Rant
  • Listening to: "Children of the Grave" - Black Sabbath
  • Reading: The Newspaper
  • Watching: South Park

So yeah, school is starting in about three weeks, and I don't feel like doing my AP English homeworks. I mean, I have better (and more fun) things to do than to write Cornell-style notes on "The Count of Monte Cristo". It's boring, and I already wasted about 10 hours of my life watching the two required "Hamlet" movies and writing stuff about it. Rawr. Anyways, I'm not looking forward to much this year... SAT and ACT is quite a pain (even though I took it last year and got decent scores), and I still have no clue as to which university I want to go to (I have a few picks, but I'm so indeceicive...). The dean was promoted to vice-principal this year (and he's a grade-"A" butt-stain), and the only administrator who liked me and my family's guts left for some other school. The only thing I'm looking forward to is the Powderpuff football game, where I can go tackle random girls I don't like (haha).

:dead:

Anyways, my boyfriend is still out of town, and I'm bored. I'm sick of summertime now...I mean, I have to shower about 3 times a day because I sweat so much, even with the A/C turned up high... The sun and humidity is giving me insane headaches, and my sleep patterns are not ready to get back into school mode. My college Dual-enrollment art classes end this week, so I'll be really bored after they're done, and my parents are bugging me to go get my driver's permit (but I don't have the time, and sitting in a 4 hour class about drugs isn't my cup of tea). After all, I know tons of stuff about drugs, both common and obscure (all thanks to Ozzy Osbourne and what happens to him when he's high), so why the heck do I have to sit in a 4 hour class with a bunch of idiots?

I'm bored out of my mind here, and I feel much to lethargic to move around... Most of my friends are out of town right now, and there's nothing to do besides chores around here.

:rage:

Updates and possibly a new rant soon...

Summertime Musings

Tue Jul 10, 2007, 12:30 PM
  • Mood: Zest
  • Listening to: "Mountain Town" - The South Park movie
  • Reading: "Photoshop Artistry" for College class
  • Watching: South Park

  • Eating: Blueberries

Well, well. I'm in the middle of summer vacation now... I haven't been doing much lately, I've been catching up on all the sleep I missed over the past school year (ie sleeping until 2 P.M. nearly each day). Most of the time, I'm just lounging around, eating fruit, drinking tea, and watching TV. It's way too hot and humid to go outside, and I detest going out in the sun anyhow. Right. Besides that, I've been talking a lot on the phone with my boyfriend (who just got dragged out of town to some stupid camp for 2 weeks, poor thing...). As for me, I pretty much just got back from a week-long local mission trip (which was really awesome).

As you can probably tell, I've gotten into "South Park" now. It all started with the movie "South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut"... I just found the movie hilarious, the satire rather clever, and I fell rather in love with the music. The lyrics were rather clever and the music itself sounded really good. In terms of art, you can expect some more South Park fanart coming soon enough...

Besides laying around and slacking off, I'm in a couple Dual-Enrollment college classes (Drawing I and Raster Graphics). I'm enjoying these classes a lot; the teachers, though old, are rather cool, to say the least. That'll keep me occupied for the rest of the summer, I reckon.

In addition to all this hullabaloo, my dad kinda fixed my busted main computer, so that makes me happy.

The only thing really irking me right now is that most of my friends are busy these days...so I'm stuck at home every single day.

By the way, a note to you all... Do not harass me here on DeviantArt. It often turns out rather badly for the aggressors. I just got finished with dealing with a former "friend"'s harassment (including telling me to break up with my boyfriend and commit suicide through notes), and I'm not scared to report harassment. You have been warned.

"Who made you God/We're not all hardcore/Expand your horizons and get over yourself" Rant:

As above mentioned, I've developed an intrest in South Park, especially in the movie. Now, I was looking for a few reference screenshots for a little more fanart I was going to do, and I came across this website: [link] . This website in a nutshell is a site devoted to "protect kids from bad movies/inform parents/etc." Yeah, right. My rant is...

1. Who died and made your organization God?

- Seriously, you people piss me off. You act as if you have the final word on what people can or cannot watch on TV and stuff. First of all, you aren't. People can watch whatever they please. Heck, there are "worse" movies out there than "South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut"; the South Park movie was only rated R. Have you people forgotten what the NC-17 rating means? Or, are you too timid to expand your knowledge on media in general? Point being, you can't decide for others what is okay and not okay to watch.

2. We're not all hardcore Christians, mind you.

- Look here. This is coming from a fellow Christian. Not all of us are hardcore like you people. Some of us like to let loose a little bit. I mean, what's the fun in life if you can't joke around a little? If we took everything seriously, we'd all die of stress in about a month because we live with other people. Furthermore, I take it that you're the type who will shove Bibles in random peoples' faces and preach eternal damnation rather than the salvation of Jesus. I get the gist that you're the ones scaring people away from Christianity. Well, maybe you ought to realize that some people believe the same exact thing as you, but these people have lives.

3. We're not retarded, m'kay?

- First of all, you'd have to be living under a rock (pretty much) if you haven't ever heard of "South Park". Yes, it is a cartoon, but it's aimed at teenagers and older viewers. Any parent with common sense wouldn't show anything South Park related to their children until their coming of age. In addition, anyone with common sense would know that it's supposed to be a comedy; most (if not all) of it is a joke. It's not supposed to be taken seriously. It's just pure common sense. What is there to figure out? Perhaps, you should try to figure out that not all people are raised as innocent little freaks who know nothing at all.

4. If you don't like it, don't watch it. It's not that hard.

- Again, this is common sense. If you don't like the movie's content, then don't watch it. It's not that hard. Even if you did try to pull the movie from store shelves, what good would that do? (I get the feeling that you're the ones against "Harry Potter" and such, even if it's just fiction.) There's something called bootleg movies, YouTube, and Google. It's too bad that you hate every "bad" movie, but you're going to have to live with it.

5. Get over yourselves.

- In your review, it was written that: "In the months that followed our posting of this analysis report we received thousands of emails from adolescents who have seen this movie and spoke just like it. With the same or more severe level of contempt for wholesome and righteous ethics. I would post examples of their email here but most of them would look like "You --- ---, ---. You are a --- and a ---. Go --- ---. And see who cares about your --- ---, you --- --- sorry --- --- --- ---. --- my ---. And Satan's, too, you --- uncle ---- donkey ---." Just like South "Puke": Bigger, Longer, and Uncut. And some people actually believe movies do not influence kids." Well, excuse me. I am an adolecent, too, and did I go off and use swear words every two words? I think not. Not all teenagers are foul-mouthed brats like you portray here. By the way, calling names isn't going to help your image, at least to my like-minded bretheren.

6. All teenagers and their intrests are not evil

- Not everything related to teenage doings and humor is evil. Take for example, metal music. It's portrayed as "Satanic" and such...but have you ever thought of the (obscure) branch of metal music? Yes, there are Christian metal bands out there (ex: Underoath). Just because music has heavy guitar riffs and driving drumlines doesn't mean it's Satanic, mind you. I'll leave music and everything else to another rant for another time; point being, you people need to expand your horizons and lighten up.

God bless.

I'm pissed as Hell right now. The half-wit I call a "brother" went on fucking addictinggames.com and caught a virus (or viruses) on my main computer. The damn virus (or viruses) killed the computer's hard drive and I lost all my art and my homework. I lost Internet access and the printer to do my online homework for AP History, and I lost my scanner (until I upload that software onto my laptop). I'm right about to kick his ass sooner or later, and my parents are blaming it on me because I'm the primary user (so much for digital art, my ass).

(I'm typing this from Computer Graphics class right now, so yeah...)

Well, they can't blame it all on DeviantArt. I've gotten viruses from fucking math-help sites and doing online homework.

Fuck.

Now I can't do anything in terms of homework and art except use my extra-slow laptop at home....which I share with my dad.

Fuck.

Anyhow, if I have a chance to submit art if I get my laptop, scanner, and everything else to work alright....

I have a few art projects yet to be scanned and submitted here....

- Pencil Drawing <<when I get over my shame for its disturbed realism qualities and scan it in and submit it>>....
- Chinese Culture Poster <<when the teacher gives it back to me so I can scan it in and submit it>>
- Menu Design <<when I scan it in and submit it>>
- Various sketches and drawings done in my free time <<when I scan it in, finish it up (or retouch it) and submit it....

I just submitted the bulk of my English class poetry project, have fun taking a look at that and critiquing both the poetry on there and the artwork (but I daresay that the artwork isn't really of the greatest quality)....

I have a few art projects yet to be scanned and submitted here....

- Poetry Book Cover <<soon, when I have the time and I get back from camp>>
- Pencil Drawing <<soon, when I get over my shame for its disturbed realism qualities and scan it in and submit it>>....
- Chinese Culture Poster <<soon, when the teacher gives it back to me so I can scan it in and submit it>>

I kinda gave up on the "Bark at the Moon" manga interpretation, because I have this huge manga concept/project involving me and my boyfriend....which I hope that one day, I will get it published....

Yeah, I've been on and off here lately, I have a ton of AP History work and other homework to worry about, along with getting ready for camp this weekend....
